Winnipeg is full of amazing food options of every kind and culture. I am personally devoted to spots that have great interior design, providing a feast for both the eyes and the stomach. Support local and try some of my favourites;

architecture
Located in the geographical heart of North America, Winnipeg, once called the “Chicago of the North” has a unique architectural legacy. In the early 1900s, Winnipeg was a wealthy rail and transportation hub. The grand stone buildings on ‘bankers row’ (downtown Main Street) and the ornate Provincial Legislature are a testament to a period Winnipeg history where designers and city planners dreamed big. Strolling through the Exchange District is like a step backwards in time, where wealthy industrialists set their legacy in stone.
Despite this growth eventually receding, Winnipeg’s classical and modernist buildings remain for us to explore. Check out (brunch and) a walking tour of the Exchange District National Historic Site, or a Winnipeg Architecture Foundation self-guided tour.
